Overview
Galvalume (GL) coil has an aluminium-zinc coating. Select the substrate grade and coating designation under the governing standard and edition. An AZ designation describes a coating requirement; it does not establish stock availability or service life.
Send thickness, feed-coil width and tolerances together with coil ID, OD and maximum weight for the uncoiler. For roof panels, add the profile drawing and finished cover width. Feed width and effective cover width describe different dimensions.
State surface-treatment requirements and compatibility with later painting or bonding. Include inspection criteria, coil or lot identification, documents, packing and destination. GI and GL selection also depends on exposure, forming and cut-edge design.
If your purchase specification calls for 55% Al-Zn, include the governing standard and edition and confirm the coating composition against the required inspection documents.
